About Us

Three things decide whether a piece of men’s clothing holds up: cut, construction, cloth. Those are the criteria behind everything we put on the site — men’s minimalist clothing chosen by the same hands that handle alterations every day at our tailoring shop in Norwalk, California.

Cut, construction, cloth

At the alterations table, the same three things tell us how a garment will age. Stitching density predicts how long a seam holds. The choice of lining shows up in how a jacket keeps its silhouette. Fabric weight reveals how a piece wears past fifty washes — fiber names on the tag rarely do. These read clearly under our hands, and they’re what we apply to anything that goes on the site.

The range stays short on purpose. A handful of well-built pieces is enough for a working wardrobe; volume isn’t the point. Our catalogue is shaped around that — fewer pieces, harder selection, nothing on the site to fill space.

Tailoring as curation

Years of fitting men’s clothing teach you, with unusual clarity, which pieces hold up past their first season and which don’t. The catalogue was built around the first answer — what we’d recommend at the counter if a man asked where to start.

Most of the men whose clothes we work on want the same thing from their wardrobe: pieces that sit clean, last past a year, and don’t compete with the wearer. The site reflects that, chosen by the same hands that handle the alterations.

The shop in Norwalk

We trained through traditional European apprenticeship. In practice that means a long stretch of hand-stitching, taking garments apart, and learning how a piece is built before being cleared to alter it. That training is the lens we bring to any garment we work with — including everything we put on the site.

Three sides of the same business run out of here. Alterations is the bulk of the work, from routine hems and waist takes to suits reshaped ahead of a wedding date and vintage jackets rebuilt for a new wearer. Dry cleaning is the second side, grounded in the same knowledge of fabric. Tuxedo rentals make up the third — and most of those need a fitting before they’re worn.
